The LFAS Gay-Straight Alliance, or GSA, is a club composed of a group of students of diverse backgrounds, gender identities and sexual orientations, from grades 6-12. The club focuses on learning about the sexual orientation and gender spectrum, the differences between orientation, gender, and identity, and learning to accept and celebrate the differences of every person. Students can share their questions and experiences in a safe and supportive environment, without fear of judgement. Along with learning, the GSA serves as a platform to make friends, socialize, and have fun, along with receiving opportunities to plan and go to events, such as the Langley School District GSA and host fundraisers. And FYI, you don’t have to be LGBTQ to join. Everybody is always welcome at the GSA!
