Q: How do I apply to LFAS? A: If your child is already school-aged then please send your application directly to LFAS. See specific information about the Kindergarten application process.
Q: Do I need to send in a portfolio with my application? A: No, we do not require a portfolio just the application. If space is available for your child we will tell you at that time what you will need to bring for audition purposes.
Q: Can I come for a tour of LFAS? A: LFAS is a closed campus; however, if your child is called to audition you will have an opportunity at that time to view our school.
Q: When will I be contacted about my child’s application? A: When space is available in the appropriate grade and/or Arts major, one of the secretaries at the school will call to arrange a time for your child’s audition and/or interview. We start interviewing Kindergarten and Grade 3 in January and auditioning/interviewing students in Grades 8-12 after Spring Break.
Q: What grades are the main intake years? A: Kindergarten, Grades 3, 8, 9, and 10 are the main intake years. In all other grades, we fill spaces as they become available.
Q: Are there fees at LFAS? A: Because LFAS is an Academy there are nominal program fees. These will be shared with families once auditions and/or interviews are completed.
Q: Who do I contact if I have more questions? A: You can call LFAS at 604-888-3113, email us at kgill@sd35.bc.ca.
