The PA-MOJA committee would like to extend aninvitation to you to attend the 1st Annual Silvia Knittel Memorial Scholarship fundraiser that PA-MOJA, through the Langley School District Foundation, has organized for Saturday, January 18th, 2020.
For information about the Silvia Knittel Memorial Scholarship, you can read a great article that her daughter, Toni Hourston, wrote for the Langley Advanced Times newspaper
The fundraiser will feature the British Columbia premier screening of the multiple award winning movie, KIFARU.
KIFARU is a feature-length documentary film that follows the lives of two young Kenyan recruits who join Ol Pejeta Conservancy’s rhino caretaker unit – a small group of rangers that protect and care for Sudan, the last male northern white rhino in the world. Spanning over the course of the caretakers first four years on the job, KIFARU allows viewers to intimately experience the joys and pitfalls of wildlife conservation firsthand through the eyes of these Kenyan rhino caretakers who witness extinction happening in real-time. Its an amazing film that has won over 9 international film awards.
